Prado Museum

The most famous museum in the city of Madrid and for a reason! Kids want to learn too, that’s why this activity is perfect to not only see a cultural side of Madrid but to let your children get in touch with their creative side.

What can you expect?

It collects an incredible amount of art pieces with lots of historic importance such as Las Meninas by Diego Velázquez or Saturn Devouring His Son by Francisco Goya. Definitely a great place to learn more about Spanish and Madrid’s culture with the kids.

The entire month of July, the Prado Museum also holds different workshops, activities and exhibitions designed specifically for small kids and families. They will get to learn about the art in an interactive and fun way, while imagining different worlds, thinking about new ideas and possibilities.

If you are looking for a more in-depth lesson about Spanish art history, we recommend you to book the guided tour.

How to get there

It’s a nice 15-minute walk from Sol, the centre of Madrid.

Alternatively, a taxi might be a good option. We recommend you booking this from your hotel as they will use reputable companies. From the centre, the ride is about 15 minutes.
